Boat Trader Wins Telly Award For TV Show Stomping Grounds
Boat Trader honored with prestigious Telly Award for its boating-themed streaming TV show Stomping Grounds.
America's largest boating marketplace has brought back a second season of its award-winning, original streaming TV show series, Stomping Grounds that explores boat life across America. The 44th Annual Telly Awards named the show a Silver Winner in the online documentary series category on May 23, 2023. Other winners in the category included BET's "I Was A Soul Train Dancer S5", Hearst TV's "Hometown Tragedy", MTV's RuPaul's Drag Race Portrait of a Queen" and NBC's "The Lost Story of Emmett Till".
About The Telly Awards
The Telly Awards recognizes outstanding achievements in video and television content across various platforms. Judges from leading video platforms, television networks, streaming services and production companies such as Netflix, A&E Networks, Nickelodeon, National Geographic Society, ESPN films and Vimeo evaluate the submissions for this prestigious competition.
This year the awards saw a record-breaking 13,000 entries from television and content creators including Disney, NASA, National Geographic Society, Netflix, Paramount, PBS Digital Studios, BET Networks, Airbnb, Audible, BritBox and numerous others who all added to the grandeur of the event.
Stomping Grounds Boating Docu-series
Season two of the popular boat-themed series is now available on many major streaming platforms including Tubi, Sling and Pluto as well as smart TVs including Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Chromecast, via the outdoor entertainment network Waypoint TV. The first episode of the second season premiered on May 19th and was screened at a watch party in Jacksonville, Florida where over 200 attendees watched the live YouTube stream on a big screen along the banks of the St. Johns River at the local Freedom Boat Club franchise.

Viewership Reflects Boom In Boating
The first season of Stomping Grounds featured various type of boats across the country and garnered over 1 million views and 4.3 million minutes watched on streaming platforms alone, plus nearly a quarter million views on YouTube. Episodes included famous guest celebrities such as country music singer Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, Netflix’s Outer Banks creator/director Jonas Pate, legendary champion powerboat racer Reggie Fountain, Ernest Hemingway’s PILAR boat reproduced by Wheeler Yachts and many more.
